ESU NO. 5 AWARDED RUS GRANT

The United States Department of Agriculture announced today that Educational Service Unit No. 5 has been awarded a Rural Utilities Services (RUS) Grant in the amount of $484,684.

This grant will make it possible to update and replace equipment in the SNDLC static distance learning classrooms and 1st-generation carts. The grant also provides funds for the equipment necessary to upgrade local area networks for the distance-delivered elementary Spanish program.

Work on the project will begin once we have received official notification of the grant award and the necessary paper work for acceptance has been completed.
