CLASS WEBSITE |
A class website provides a direct communication link to your students and their parents. You can use a website to post a variety of information: classroom rules, grading policies, daily assignments, student work, on-line practice exercises, photo pages, and more! Click here to view Mrs. Penner's class website (or click here to go directly to the site map).

| CLASSROOM RULES | A DL teacher needs a special set of classroom rules that deals specifically with the distance learning environment. An idea: give your students a blank "Rules" sheet, and have them copy down the rules themselves! Good for discussion, and they can't tell you they weren't aware of the rules! Click here for a sample list of classroom rules.
| PRACTICE PAPER |
Providing a "Practice Paper" for each lesson you teach has several advantages:
| POSTERS | Index-card-sized posters are great projects in the DL classroom.! They are easily displayed on the document camera, and are easy to scan and put on your class web page. |
| CLASS NOTEBOOK |
A class notebook is an invaluable tool in a distance learning environment. It helps students keep their materials organized, and it's easier for them to find what they need during class and when they are working and studying on their own. |
| ASSIGNMENTS | Posting class assignments on the web is one way to make sure that students at all sites know what's due when. Two easy (and free!) sites that allow you to do this are SchoolNotes and Nicenet. Other options can be found at The Tech-Connected Teacher: Class Web Pages |
